Okay, so go figure this. The last time I was cast in a stage show was last summer. It's now February. I'm auditioning like mad, getting called back even, and no dice. Nada. Zip. So I go on a bunch of auditions this past weekend. Get called back for Wednesday at 7. Get another call. Wednesday at 7. Work it out to leave one early, arrive to the other one late. Get a third call. Called back for, you guessed it, Wednesday at 7. Called the first one and cancel (theater doesn't pay their actors--too bad, no soup for you). Do the other two callbacks. Get offered a role. Actually a choice of roles. Hem, haw, accept one. Then, get called in the am (rare for theater people) and get offered another role.
Sheesh! Why can't they spread it out a little! From nothing to three potential shows all at the same time.
So, see me acting, singing, and dancing in Prince Ugly at the Northshore Performing Arts Center in April.
